ND UCLA Tickets: Great Moments in the Rivalry
Those who have been fortunate enough to have owned ND UCLA tickets at least once during their lives have witnessed some memorable moments from one of the NCAA's top non-conference basketball rivalries. One notable season, the 1973 campaign, saw the two schools meet three times on the hardwood. In the first game, the Bruins set a new record for most consecutive wins by downing the Fighting Irish for their 61st straight victory. Notre Dame paid back the favor, though, later that year by ending UCLA's then-88 game winning streak. That allowed the Irish to become the top-ranked college basketball team in the country, but they wouldn't keep the honor for long. About a week later, UCLA came back to knock off the Irish for the second time in the season. Considering that the two schools played three times in 1973, it seems hard to believe that they didn't meet at all from 1995 through 2004. However, when the drought ended, it was Notre Dame who came away with a 75-60 win.
