Fighting Irish Football Schedule
Every year, those college football fans that have blue and gold running through their veins go green with pride when the Fighting Irish football schedule is released. A million fans rush to mark their calendars for the big game. A hundred thousand fans (at least) clamor to get tickets to the match-up they dream to see. Notre Dame has been, and probably always will be, one of the most beloved teams in college history. Even before Knute Rockne, the Fighting Irish had character. After Rockne, they had character and a personality to match. Winning is not a luxury, it’s a tradition for the Fighting Irish.
Fighting Irish Football Schedule 2005
Notre Dame begins its 2005 football season on the road facing the Pittsburgh Panthers. The next week, the Fighting Irish hit the road again to face what is often the watershed game of the season, the Michigan Wolverines. Notre Dame finally has the home opener the following week to battle the Michigan State Spartans. After a long trip to Seattle for the Washington Huskies, the FightinIrish have another away game at Ross-ade Stadium with the Perdue Boilermakers. The 5 week home stand doesn't make get any easier as NoterDameFootball takes on the defending national champions USC Trojans. BYU isn't exactly a gimme but they're sandwiched between USC and the University of Tennessee Volunteers. After that home game, the Fighting Irish play host to the Navy Midshipmen the next week in Notre Dame Stadium. Back at home the next week, Notre Dame takes on the Syracuse Orangemen. After the 5 week home stand, the Fighting Irish will take on the Stanford Cardinal in a tough away game to wrap up the season.
